...Morgue?

The type where you store bodies on those roll-out-roll-in trays?

Do you reckon it would be hard as chuff to get access to one, never mind filming in one?

I'm a rational guy - I don't expect any old hospital to allow some dorky film student to go filming anywhere he/she likes. Just wanted to know if anyone has done anything like this...

I was joking about the dorky film student part...Honest.

I worked last summer in a medical research facility, and during which time I took a tour of a morgue and watched an autopsy. If you visit the morgue at a university hospital you are almost guaranteed that they offer some sort of tour, during which you could scout the location, and then inquire about your use of the facility. However don't expect anywhere close to full access, and there will probably be heavy supervision and time restraints. The people I was with were allowed to video tape the tour, but not the autopsy for liability issues. But good luck.

a student director friend of mine recently shot in a morgue - he said it stank - soo it is possible... plenty of haze should do the trick
